Vincent Poirel dirige une multinationale du BTP. Il a tout obtenu dans la vie sauf un enfant. Sa société est retenue pour construire un stade olympique. Le projet original apporté par son architecte est en fait celui de Simon Variot, imaginé durant ses études.
